Men's Opening and Horserace

Saturday, May 16 

1:30 p.m. shotgun

Cost: $57 + GST per person, includes:

  • 6:15 p.m. dinner and refreshments.
  • Prizes and hole competitions.
  • 7:30 p.m. optional horse race ($20 cash)

  • Team format: Best 2 out of 4 net Stableford.
  • Enter as an Individual OR sign-up as a team of 4 players.
  • Open to all active Highlands male members 18 years and older.

Men's Interclub

Friday, May 8: Afternoon tee times (TBD).

Saturday, May 9: 10:00 a.m. tee times.
Entry Fee: $30 + GST.
Format: Gross Stableford Par Points.


The top six (6) finishers will earn guaranteed spots on the team. The next four (4) finishers will qualify as alternates. Final team position ties will be settled by a playoff following the round, starting on Hole #1. For alternates, ties will be settled using USGA retrogression.

Note: In order to be eligible for this event you need to have a Golf Canada Index of 10.0 or lower.

Henry Martell Pro-Am

Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11
1:30 p.m. shotguns

$325 + GST per person

Open to all active Highlands male members 18 years and older.

  • 4-man teams compete in a 36-hole team par point competition using a rotating 3-2-1 Stableford par point system. Professionals also compete for a separate cash purse.
  • Entry fee includes a full prime rib buffet meal at the Tuesday Draft Night, registration gift, $20 honey pot entry, 4 tournament meals, on-course food & beverage, hole-in-one and proximity prizes, and team prizes.
  • Tuesday, July 7 : dinner and live team draw at Highlands Golf Club. Tee gift and information packages will be handed out this evening.

Shareholder registration opens at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2.

Non-Shareholder registration for all other members will open at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4. 

Registration is first-come, first-served, and will close on Friday, June 26, or once the event is full.

Men's Match Play Events

Men's Two Man Match Play

  • The format will be 18-hole four-ball match play. Each player in the match plays their own ball but only the best net score for each team is used for scoring in the match.
  • 80% of the handicaps are taken. The low handicap player then reverts to a 0 handicap and gives the higher handicap players appropriate strokes as indicated on the scorecard. 
  • All players are guaranteed two matchesWinners of the first match will continue in the Championship Flight. Losers of the first match will drop to the Consolation Flight. Single elimination will exist from that point onward.

Men's Individual Match Play

  • Men’s Individual Match Play will have a maximum of 48 players.
  • The Men’s Individual Match play will consist of 3 flights.
  • Flights will consist of 16 players each, determined by the player’s handicap index on Friday May 1st. The 16 participants with the lowest index will be placed in the Championship Flight.
  • All matches are played using full handicaps, except for the Championship Flight (no handicaps, gross match play only), with the low handicap player netting down to zero.
  • Play will be from the black tees. Any participants 65 years of age or older may play from the white tees. 
  • Please keep in mind that if you will be away for any length in time this golf season and don’t think you will be able to complete your matches don’t register. Deadlines are firm and will not be extended.
  • All prizes will be awarded in the form of Pro Shop Merchandise Credit.
