Highlands Golf Club is undergoing a clubhouse revitalization that will increase our capacity and improve our overall operations, which will help meet the growing needs of our membership and the surrounding community.
The current clubhouse was built in 1996. With the increased usage of the clubhouse by non-members, along with high usage from our membership, the current space and design is inadequate for our operations. As a result, the clubhouse will be closing after October 30, 2024, to undergo extensive renovation. The focus of the renovation includes:
- An expansion of our kitchen.
- The bars will be relocated to the centre of the spaces. The current rock wall will become a new double-sided bar.
- An expansion of our patio, including a louvered pergola with built-in heaters. This will become a three-season patio to further enjoy the outdoor space and beautiful River Valley views.
- The addition of two bathrooms in the spike bar, including one barrier-free bathroom.
- A new staircase from the parking lot to the clubhouse.
- An overall modernization of the clubhouse spaces.
The exterior renovations began in the fall of 2024, and the interior will be fully closed after October 30, 2024. The current schedule has the interior work completed by approximately April 1, 2025, with an opening date to be determined in the spring. The remaining exterior work will be completed during the spring of 2025.
Please watch for progress updates as we approach the reopening date in 2025.
